Project: Planet Earth 3 - Episode Key Art

Client: BBC Studios

The Brief: The episodic artwork for Planet Earth III needed to feel connected to the iconic BBC Natural History franchise while introducing a fresh visual approach for the third instalment. The creative centred around the monolithic “III”, used to frame the featured animals from each episode and create a window into their world.

The artwork needed to capture the scale, movement, and energy of the natural world while maintaining a premium and cinematic feel across the campaign.

My Role: I led the initial concept development and art direction for the campaign, helping define the visual approach for the episodic key art. I devised the idea of allowing the animals to break beyond the “III” framing device, creating a greater sense of movement, depth, and immersion as though the wildlife was moving through and beyond the frame itself.

My role included concept creation, visual development, presentation of creative directions, stakeholder feedback integration, and early-stage art direction to shape the final campaign look and feel.
